Adepticon Part I: The Action Shots!

I won't post much text here- I'll wait for Battlefront to release the full tournament results.  I will say that Bill Wilcox took first with his Task Force A.  It was a meaaaan list.  Allen Smith took "Best American" ALSO with the Task Force.  Very interesting.

Anyway, here's a photo dump of a bunch of interesting action shots from the Nationals.  Look for your own army and comment below!

The Task Force that won it all!

Ok - That last picture needs commentary:

That was me (TFA) vs. Ed Harding's Cassino FJ in Encounter. That was on a 6'x4' table. What you are seeing is a 16" quarter circle of death in his deployment area. Tally of the "dead":

TFA: 8 Hellcats and 1 M8 (call it 700pts in total)

Cass FJ: 4 Marder's (I think they were Marders) just beyond the picture, 3 Panzer IV and various FJ stands (call it another 500-600 points)

So in 16", we had half the total points in the GAME meet the Big General in the Sky!! Needless to say, pictures were taken by many and lot's of folks came by to shake their heads.

Yes, when the opponent rolls for reserves and scattered reserves and gets them PERFECTLY, death ensues. That turned a 6-1 for TFA into a 3-3 bloodbath that led to a handshake, advil and beer - in that order!!

Many thanks to Ed for a GREAT game!!

Adepticon was a blast this year! I had a great time shooting the shite with folks around the FoW tables, and the LW tournament was great. Nice to meet Steve in person as well.

Great pics! The terrain looks as nice as the well-painted armies.

Wow, Wilcox's win was indeed impressive, considering no one was manning his M18s or M8s. :P

I now have painting inferiority complex coming on....need to paint more to get better I guess.

Seriously, these models and boards look fantastic. Congrats to everyone who played.
