A 105 barrage fires counter battery on the mortars, knocking out one team and pinning the battery!

The Large Strelkovy unit backed by T-34s prepares to take the hill. In a last hurrah to Version 2 Flame throwers, a soviet Flamethrower team prepares to light up the Panzer IVs.

And after bailing both tanks, the platoon is destroyed!

The Strelkovy charge up the hill, but the Pioneers are not giving up easily.

The fight goes back and forth with each side suffering casualties.

          But neither side will quit!

The Soviet Battalion commander gets involved.

Another good batrep. I pity the German player though as the terrain really favoured Strelkovy. The large woods in the center portion of the table gave them too much of an advantage, as the only way the German player was going to win was to whittle down the Strelk as they advanced - with the woods they could not do that.

Are you switching to V3 rules from now on?

I won't disagree with that! We always set our boards up before deciding the mission (and often before deciding the forces!)

This was our last V2 game in the campaign. Played Game 4 last night using V3.

Another fine game it looked like.

How many games are you guys playing per campaign turn?

We rolled 2 dice per the general's wargame. Turn 1 is 6 games

Looks fantastic. I can't wait to join the battle for Mother Russia. V3 will be a treat to learn.

Steven- how do you mount mount your tank escorts on tanks? Are they glued permanently to tanks or just sitting freely? thanks

In general they are based on the clear plastic from a blister. Some of these guys are just painted on a clipped piece of popsicle stick painted soviet green!
