This is a new series of videos I've been planning for a while. Lydia decided she wanted to be the one to learn it so it was a n00b talking to n00bs. Expect semi-regular installments over the course of the next few months!

That picture of Jon and Steven had me LMAO!
I think this is a very good idea for a series though. Especially with v.3 just being released the timing is perfect.
Homerun! :)
Excellent. Just what new players need to encourage them into the game. The first time I showed my noob opponent the a4 rulebook his eyes bulged... trying to say "its not that difficult to play" sort of fell on deaf ears after that!
Great video and an excellent idea.
Ok. The picture.
It is not so much the picture, as the commentary by your wife -
"You will need someone to play with..." timed perfectly with the two "playing" with their, umm, tape measures. Yeah, tape measures.
Sure. We are very "understanding" in Madison.
Hey now -- what's a little playing with your measuring device with a friend?
wow, what deal did you enter into to get her to make this? this is a great idea, love it.
Excellent. Great presentation. Looking forward to more.
There's nothing wrong with a little "measuring" between friends. Some people like to drive two cars. What ever works man :P
excellent video by the way!
Wow...excellent video and remarkable; tell me, how much did it cost to convince your good lady to participate so enthusiastically? :)
Love it, every thing you guys do for FOW impresses me. I can only assume she agreed to do this and learn the game due to being sick and tired of listening to you go on and on about it while she doesn't understand it. At least that's how it work with me and my wife.
For the record, Flames of War rulebooks, army books, models and all the associated cool stuff that goes with it can likely be found at one's FLGS, or purchased from many places on line (like the WarStore, which is giving away free 3rd Edition rulebooks with any Battlefront purchase).
There is no need to pay retail price at Battlefront.
I'm just getting started on FoW with my better half so this video series couldn't have come at a better time.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the vids.
nice job Lydia!
Awesome timing! I started getting interested in FOW, didn't know how to play, and then this comes out :D
Great video, looking forward to the follow ups.
@SinSynn I think it would be unfair for the guys (and Lydia) to mention a few stores by name when many hundreds exist. Also let's not forget this goes out to an international audience to many of whom an American based company wouldn't be of use whereas Battlefronts store is international.
However it is agreed that my preference would be anybody non-Battlefront affiliated!
Nicely done, great idea, another excellent production from the WWPD crew. Having Lydia do the narration will be a nice change from the usual male umm-ing and uhhh-ing.
When can we get more of these??? I'm trying to get my girlfriend to learn!
