Really enjoy your videos Darqueling. Will make sure to link to them when I write a review of my own for this game.

Like everyone else I was sucked into this game and quite obsessed for a while. The worst has passed though and I now play it more casually. Something that really bothers me are the artillery tanks - though I read that the devs would change them to make it harder to snipe with artillery. Also, the matchups can really make or break the game. In an ideal world they would only have the same tier tanks in each battle. I’ve played multiple "freak games" where either myself or someone else played with/against tanks 2 tiers higher/lower than the rest. It is especially painful and rather a waste of time when you sit in a tier 3 tank or crappy tier 4 tank and just get mauled.

Most of the time the game is great fun though, everyone should give it a try :-)

Not much into video games myself (too addictive) but looks like fun. Would be even cooler with Allies vs. Axis and infantry/guns!

Those that usually knock SPG are players that sit in the open and don't move. Most SPG have a very slow reload time and it takes 15-20 seconds to get the aiming circle on target. Not to mention we are easy kills for the scout tanks who run up the middle. The most overpowering thing I have seen with SPGs it their ability to see more than what their scout tanks can. When you combine that with vent or teamspeak it will be huge edge. However once we start playing company level games I am sure ever other team will be doing the same thing. So just keep moving and say on the far side of hills and buildings (hint hint we can't target you then). Another hint, if you keep moving in the same pattern we will eventually hit you, so think twice before you shoot and back up in the same spot 5 times in a row. :)

Basically going to echo what Secret Squirrel says, SPGs can be mitigated by moving perpendicular to their facing, this makes their reticule bloom like crazy and you can get them to miss their shot. If there are enemy SPGs out there and you've been spotted you need to move every two shots or so, this tends to mitigate their effectiveness.

Also, having them in game means that there is a counter to the huge heavies you see around. With good spotters even the heaviest tanks can be destroyed relatively easily.

What's key to remember is that the tiers are heavily weighted in the scoring ie: getting 50% damage on a tank two tiers higher will get you way more exp than killing a horde of tanks two tiers lower.

Just like FoW.. work the flank shots.

This game is terrible. Germans and allies fighting on the same side and it's arcade call of duty gameplay makes it suck

Fair enough man- if it doesn't do it for ya no sweat. For me, there's nothing quite like sitting down with a few friends on Skype, and having a relatively light weight blow-stuff-up fest.
