A Very WWPD Christmas!

First- I'd just like to point out that this is the 200th post on WWPD!  Coming up on 2 years.

So this morning my wife and I spent Christmas all by ourselves- and it ruled!  I didn't ask for a whole lot of stuff relating to miniature games since I have a whole pile of stuff to get through, but I did get some pretty cool stuff!
Flames of War River Set

Normandy Battlefield in a Box

PanzerTales illustrated book.  Very "cute" in an awesome way!

This is going to keep me from painting for a few weeks
Adult Snackage

I got plenty of other awesome stuff!  But I am mostly just happy to be in my own house with my beautiful wife in good health.  Life is great!
Merry Christmas or whatever Holiday you celebrate this season!

New Vegas was great! I logged about 38 hours in the game total and still had plenty of content to work through before I got back to painting.

Also the rivers set is excellent. A few suggestions: Don't stack the river pieces on top of one another. Mine have a nasty habit of sticking and pulling some paint off if they sit on top of each other too long. Also, the "wooden" bridge in the set has some tiny legs that snap off super easy-- I generally store mine on top somewhere face-up.

Also, the river set looks great flocked, if your willing to commit it to a certain style/feel.

@JM Can't wait to break it open tonight!

Thanks for the tip on the river pieces- I am storing them stacked right now- will fix that.

Not sure if I am gonna flock them or not- I've been wrestling with that one :) They look really good out of the box. Solid value in my opinion.

Fallout NV is a wicked cool game. You have to play hard core mode though to get the full experience!

Also, been meaning to grab some of those rivers,... but I keep forgetting them!

Also, I prefer mother gin as my adult snack of choice.

I find that storing the rivers in the original box (and styrofoam) with wax paper between the peices that are in contact works well (I don't bother with the wax paper between the ones that are in back-to-back contact).

I do wish that Battlefront would use less brittle styrofoam for all their Battlefield in a Box products.

Enjoy the new breed of Super Mutants!

So far it is a great game and I am about 20 hours into it.
