Scratch Built Gallows and other Detritus

I haven't scratch built too many buildings in my day, but I just had to try my hand at a Gallows for Legends of the Old West. I plan to add a noose made from some heavy thread, but I was happy with the way this came out. I also painted up a bunch of detritus to add life to the games by making the town look a little more lived in.

For realism those large uprights should probably continue all the way through to the ground, but otherwise looks lovely.

You're absolutely right- I didn't even consider that! Thanks for the feedback :)

Very well done!
Any plan to have the trapdoor open when you do add the noose? (But I guess you'd have to find a hangable miniature to make that work

I thought about having the trap door be functional, but decided it would be too much work :)

I need to find a 28mm "hanging" figure so the heroes can valiantly shoot the rope and escape to safety!

Do you guys still play Legends of the Old West? I just started and it is fun so far. It would be awesome if you did an AAR like for your FoW games...

We haven't in a while, but I suspect we might pick it up again soon. It's fun but it gets old kinda quickly for me.
